Our 1st Field Trip of the Year – Hickory Nut Gap Farm

100_0881Thursday, September 19th we attended our first Field Trip of the school year, and boy, did we have fun!  We arrived at 9:00am and were met by our tour guide, Mark.  We read a book about apples, and got to taste several different varieties.  Then we got to see all of the animals – chicks, goats, calves, turkeys, pigs, and horses!  After playing in the barn on the swings and hay,  we went through a corn maze, and picked 3 pumpkins from the pumpkin patch for our classroom.  We ended with a picnic lunch by the creek.  Needless to say it was a huge success, and we all had a terrific time!
